Shiksha scholarships for the academic year 2023-24 are sponsored by Rotary Club of Cochin. However, Sponsorship proposals for the academic years beginning from 2024 – 25 are invited from prospective individuals, families, firms, companies or other legal entities.
Sponsors of Shiksha scholars provide funding requirements for the full job-oriented program enrolled by the scholar. Please click on the tab below to know more about Sponsor funding requirements. Sponsored scholarships will be cobranded with the identity of the sponsor based on Shiksha guidelines. Sponsor will have full access to all facets of the sponsored scholar including expenses incurred.
Shiksha scholars are hand-held and monitored by us all through their program and offered financial support for their requirements of course materials and accessories. They are also mentored by us for their personality development and empowered to compete effectively for job interviews.
Donor funds are required to support scholars for their program requirements other than program tuition fees. Donations towards this purpose are invited in strict conformity to Indian laws for such transactions. All donations above INR 100,000/ will be notified on our website with details of the donor. Shiksha scholarship program uses education as the means to empowerment through jobs. We envisage our scholars to be mentored for personality and skill development to compete with the best when it comes to getting placed in appropriate jobs.
We invite mentors with suitable skills to work with Shiksha program on a Pro-Bono basis based on periodic requirements that will be notified in advance. Mentors will be required to interact with scholars either in person at our office in Cochin and/or through Zoom or similar media.
